The herbs used in Natura Siberica products have been traditionally used by Siberians for countless generations and were actually made into elixirs of health and beauty for the Russian Royal Family.

Their modern history began in the 1940s, when Russian botanists Lazarev and Brekhram investigated over 4,000 plants and herbs and identified twelve very special herbs and flower adaptogens.

Adaptogens increase the plants resistance against environmental stress, therefore avoiding harmful damage and allow the plants to thrive and offer exceptional benefits for the body and hair. Having survived the Ice Age by adapting to one of the planet’s most severe environments, they possess rare qualities which help to enhance general well-being, and when used therapeutically, are renowned for slowing ageing processes of the skin.

Helping the body adapt to different negative environmental factors (cold, heat, lack of oxygen etc.) They increase the working capacity without a negative effect on the body. Originating from the word “adaptation” as treatments they enhance adaptogenic abilities in people.

There are about only 12 types of adaptogens in the world. In Siberia 4 such plants where found, which for centuries have been used by the locals in order to treat all possible diseases and preserve skin beauty and youthful appearance.
